Catapults were invented by antient Greeks. They usesd them to launch objects at distance. Catapults are proven to be one of the most effective mechanisms when it comes to wars. The Romans also used catapults but they improven them by using ballista catapults in wars. The most used catapults are ballista, springald, mangonel, onager, trebuchet and couillard. The last massive use of catapults was during the World War 1. Millatairy used aircraft catapults when they neded to launch planes and the takeoff runaway was to short. In January 2011 some magazine reported that a group of smugglers used homemade catapult t deliver some drugs into the United States from Mexico.
